Some notes about HID kits: While a normal halogen bulb produces light by heating a resistive filament until it glows, HID bulbs produce light by way of an electrical plasma arc. Its almost completely the same as an electrical welder. In a halogen bulb, reducing the resistance of the glowing element, you can get more current draw and therefore more heat and light. In an HID, the same physics are not at work. The bulb does not determine the current flow in the circuit. Just like on an electrical welder, you can increase the amount of current by changing the source. This is why all of our bulbs are rated for 60W. We use the same bulbs in our 35W and 55W kits. This is true for almost all suppliers of quality kits. The bulbs are all the same in most kits as far as construction and power handling capabilities. While you may occasionally receive a bulb from us or any supplier with a 35W sticker attached, this does not affect or limit or determine the actual tolerance or output of the bulb. Whether the bulbs we supply from varied production factories have a 35W, 50W, 55W or 60W sticker on them, they are all exactly the same in power rating.
